Bake Sale for Japan

The phrase ‘bake sale’ has come a long way. What was once a community effort by a local school or group– who organized to sell baked items to raise money for a cause– has now reached Global proportions. Bake Sales are still very much locally rooted efforts, but the causes are now International. It makes you realize how much we can help each other, when we come together, and work with each other. Even from the other side of the world.

I am excited to be contributing baked goods to the upcoming Bake Sale for Japan, organized by Samin Nosrat of Ciao Samin. The last Bake Sale she organized for Haiti raised 23,000 dollars. It is a wonderful idea and great opportunity to raise money for Japan Aid relief.

The Bake Sale is on Saturday April 2nd in and around San Francisco. There are also other locations to contribute to throughout California, Oregon, along the East Coast and even in Austin. To find a location near you, go to the website for
