Harvested a bounty of Seabeans last month while on adventure in Galveston.

Had Seabeans for days. Ended up on the daily Tartines. As garnish, on a seasonal Vegetable Curry that was served at the weekly booth at City Hall Farmers Market. And on my own dinner table, along side criminis and parma galloni.

Inspiration and adoration for Seabeans still lie in an ancient episode on Tyler’s Ultimate, when Tyler Florence eats breakfast at Manka’s Lodge.

Chef Margaret Grade prepares a delicate, perfect, unadulterated dish of Seabeans with mixed mushrooms and some sort of casual cheese souffle. For breakfast.
It’s all completely enchanting and uncomplicated.

It still haunts me.
